New Security To Prevent Guestbook Spam
Having a guestbook on your website is a great way to get feedback from your fans. But are you getting postings on your guestbook that look similar to junk mail?
Your NoteWay website now includes an option to add more security to your guestbook page which helps avoid this problem. By using this option, a small area automatically appears at the bottom of your guestbook that asks visitors to verify a code (also called "captcha") when posting comments. Since most junk messages are submitted automatically, this helps filter away spam messages and allows legitimate visitors to continue posting comments.
This is an optional guestbook feature that can be enabled or disabled at any time. To enable this feature, select Website Pages from the main menu of the control panel, and then select your Guestbook section. In the list of options for the guestbook section, select "Change guestbook comment security settings". The next screen gives you the ability to enable or disable this feature on your Guestbook.
Improve Search Engine Rankings For Your Website
Your NoteWay website now includes the option to improve your search engine rankings through a meta tag description. Meta tags are located in the HTML code for your website as a way to boost your rankings. They can be as descriptive as you want and should summarize your website in one or two sentences (up to a maximum of 255 characters). For example, the meta tag description for NoteWay.com might say something like the following:
"Do-It-Yourself websites for musicians and bands. Includes CD sales, MP3 samples, photo galleries, newsletters and more."
You can now include a meta tag description for your NoteWay website at no additional charge. Just simply email us the wording of your description, and we will add it for you behind the scenes. Please note that this option is only available once you have converted your account to the full version.
Get A Free Month Of Website Service In The New Year
