Welcome to our next edition of NoteWay Notes, the official newsletter from NoteWay Media. After several months in the works, NoteWay is happy to announce that the new control panel is now available.
The next time you login to your control panel, the new version will automatically be available for you to use. The new control panel includes many new features to make it easier to setup and maintain your website. This month’s newsletter gets you familiar with some of these new features.

Help From The NoteWay Website Maestro
Most pages within the new control panel now include a section at the top for the NoteWay website “Maestro”. This familiar blue figure has always been part of the NoteWay logo and is now available to help with your website.
Next to the website Maestro is a screenshot and some help text showing how the options on each page can be used. This should help to give you an idea of how your website will be affected by using the options on that page.
Each screenshot comes from the NoteWay Sample Band website. This is a demo website available at www.sampleband.com to show you what options are available for your website using the new control panel.
Visual Screenshots For Each Section
The new control panel now includes a visual screenshot for each section in addition to the menu options for that section. Each menu option available for that section is highlighted on the screenshot.
For example, let’s say you are viewing the home page section. The menu includes an option to add an image to your home page, and the screenshot points out where this image would appear on that page.
By offering the visual screenshot next to the menu options, the new control panel makes it easier to find the options you need. If you know what the menu option is called, the screenshot helps to show you where that change will appear on your web page. If instead you know what part of your web page needs to be changed, then the screenshot helps to point you toward the appropriate menu option for that change.
Simplified Menus For Each Section
The new control panel simplifies the options available for each section by consolidating them into a single menu next to the visual screenshot. This saves time by allowing you to update the info on your website and adjust the settings all from one convenient menu.
For example, let’s say you want to add a new press release to your Press Releases section and change the order in which press releases are sorted. You no longer need to jump through several different parts of the control panel to make this happen. Instead, the new control panel includes both options within the same menu for that section.
