Sorting Photos Within Each Photo Gallery
Your NoteWay control panel now includes the ability to sort the photos within each photo gallery. This goes along with the options we added last month for changing the order in which your photo galleries are listed. The combination of these two features now gives you much more flexibility with how photo galleries appear to your website visitors.
You can change how photos are sorted within a photo gallery using the following steps:
- Select the Webpage Content option in the control panel.
- Select the Photo Gallery section.
- Select the “Change the order of photos within a gallery” option from the right menu.
- Select the photo gallery where photos are to be rearranged.
- Click and drag the photos until they appear in the correct order.
- Save your changes.
Changing Your Website Name
Did you know that there are two places where you can control the name that appears on your website?
The most noticeable place where your website name appears is within the banner text at the top of each page. This banner text can be adjusted at any time using the following steps:
- Select the "Website Appearance" option in the control panel.
- Select the "Theme & Banner" section.
- Select the “Change the text or image in the banner” option from the right menu.
- Select the “Change text on default banner” option.
- Enter any text that you would like to appear in your banner.
- Save your changes.
This will update the text that appears within your banner at the top of each page. Please note that this option is only available if you are using one of the default banners and have not uploaded a custom banner image.
Another place where your website name appears is on the home page next to your newsletter signup form. This is what NoteWay considers to be the "official" name of your website. This name also appears in various other places such as the email newsletters that you send to fans and at the top of your web browser window for search engines. This name can be adjusted at any time using the following steps:
- Select the "Website Appearance" option in the control panel.
- Select the "Website Name & Footer" section.
- Select the “Change website name” option from the right menu.
- Enter the name you want to appear for your website.
- Save your changes.
